The 30th Jindal Art Festival, an All-India Inter-Public Schools Cultural.
Festival of Art, Music, Dance and Literary Skills, was inaugurated on 7th August at VDJS, Hisar to commemorate the 93rd birth anniversary of the founding father, Late Shri OP Jindal ji, the man who put Hisar and the Indian steel industry, on the international map of Economic Forum by virtue of his sheer passion and belief in human potential. His epochal initiative to promote girls’ education now stands tall as one of the best boarding schools in India. The two-day festival was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr Shatarupa Thakurta Roy, Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. Along with distinguished guests, the auditorium beamed with 154 participants from eight eminent schools across India. The gala event began with the floral tribute to ‘Bau Ji’ and the traditional welcome song and dance seeking the blessings of the divine. In her address, the Chief Guest, Dr Roy, shared her experiences and the significance of the expression of one’s learning and understanding through the prism of art and officially declared the 30th Jindal Art Festival ‘OPEN’. The highlight of the occasion was the official release of a new addition to VDJS publications, ‘VDJS Gazette’, an online weekly newsletter by Dr Roy.

Ms Chatterjee inaugurated the regal art exhibition displaying the pristine and novel creativity of young and promising illustrators.
