Jindalites from Classes IX-XI went for an excursion to Shimla along with the staff, Ms Parul Vij, Ms Poonam Chauhan, Ms Suman Arora, Ms Sharbani Kayal, Mr Rajesh, and Mr Dhrigpal from 19th– 23rd March. The three-day camp stay at Mashobra was a big break from the life in concrete jungles of cities for the girls. Combating the heart-pounding twists and turns of the mountains and extremely chilling winds Jindalites were awestruck by the heritage paintings at the Chail Palace and had a blissful rendezvous with the bright and graceful tragopans, deers and many more at the Kufri Zoo. The girls conquered their inhibitions and fears when they took on intimidating rappelling from a height of 125 feet, Valley crossing, Zipline and obstacle course. The girls were bribed with lip-smacking food like pakoras, and Maggi at the camp to get them going. The after-dinner bonfire, story-telling and jam sessions clobbered the toiling of the day-time activities. The shopping at the Mall Road boosted Jindalites’ bargaining and financial planning skills. The heights of Shimla left an indelible mark in the memories of the girls, surely, it was an educational trip complemented by adventure, dare, comradeship and gratitude to Mother Nature for the abundance that she has blessed human beings with.
