‘Career Counseling Workshop by the Institute of Career Studies’ a Report

To keep the students updated about the latest career options and also to check up on their career aptitude, a four-day Career Counselling Workshop was organized by the Institute of Career Studies, Lucknow, from July 23–26 at Vidya Devi Jindal School for students from Grader IX to XII. The workshop was conducted by experts from ICS, namely Ms. Naheed Varma, Ms. Sheetal Sohal, Mr. Siddhant Kumar, and Ms. Arisha Riyaaz. The experts conducted one-on-one counseling for X and XII. Based on the student’s interests, aptitudes, academic scores, profiles, and psychometric tests, the counsellors suggested a stream, subject choice, and career options for them. They also suggested courses, top college scholarships, admission criteria, and abroad study options. Students got career handouts and details in their emails too. Students resolved their doubts, explored non-conventional career options, and knew in depth about the specific career of their interest. Individual sessions were highly interactive and engaging. Mr. Siddhant Kumar conducted workshops on Emotional Intelligence and Digital Entrepreneurship.
