The newly elected leaders of the student body vowed to be compelling and exemplary torchbearers for their fellow Jindalites, and fulfill their duties with utmost dedication in the Auditorium at the Investitures Ceremony that was held on 24^th July, 2023.

The Auditorium buzzed with excitement as the student body gathered to witness the ceremonial occasion that commenced with the badging of the Class Representatives and Captains for the numerous Sports Teams who were conferred with their commitments towards their fellow-mates and teams by the DOAC, SSC, MSC and the respective Sports’ Coaches. The Round Square and IAYP Representatives were also officially bestowed with devoirs by their respective coordinators. 

As stated by John Maxwell, “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way,” the newly appointed Student Prefects held their heads high and walked confidently to accept their duties and responsibilities. The Principal, Ms Naina Dhillon, and the four House-Mistresses adorned them with sachets, pinned badges, and proffered them with the flags as a symbol of keeping the VDJS’ cause and ethos always at the zenith of its fundamentals. It was followed by the Oath Ceremony, wherein the Principal addressed the newly elected Prefectorial Board who came forward to take an oath to work without fear and favour for the welfare of the institution. The exhilaration and zeal of the Jindalites could clearly be seen as their new House Prefects called on them, and they all solemnised to give their best to their Houses!

Accoutred with the earned competence and knowledge and nourished with wisdom, the newly selected prefects were congratulated by the Jindalites with cheers of hope and happiness. The Vidya Devi Jindal School fraternity heartily welcomes the new members of the Student Council for the session of 2023-24!
