Lakshika, a student of Grade X, has brought accolades to the institution by securing the 1st position in the Regional Round of the Global Economics Olympiad, winning a cash prize of Rs 1500/-. Lakshika also received the rare honour of being featured in the coveted Global Economics Olympiad brochure.
GEO is an International Level Olympiad in Economics, which helps students tap the potential of their young minds in a more optimal way and encourages the economist in them at the school level but at the international stage. Round I of the Economics Olympiad was held on October 13 with the coordination of the school’s Economics Department. Out of 194 students, 170 qualified for the regional round and appeared for an offline exam for round II on December 1, 2023. Out of these, 34 students secured Grade A, and 6 students secured Grade A+. Lakshika of Grade X secured 1st place in the regional round, winning a cash prize of Rs 1500/-.
