NPSC organised a Literary Fest on 18th February to mark its Golden Jubilee Celebrations at India Habitat Centre, Delhi. Padma Vibhushan, and Dr. Sonal Mansingh, graced the occasion as the Chief Guests. Ms. Anindita Sinha and Ms. Shraiya Gupta attended the fest which was a mural of commendable poetic and prose masterpieces by renowned writers, bureaucrats, and budding student authors from 18th February got molded into beautiful literary pieces. A number of upcoming student authors also shared the literary dais with the established authors to share their inspirations behind their recently published books and what initiated them into writing at such an early age. The panelists addressed the queries of the promising writers about the techniques of effective writing, a strong plot, flawless characterisation, content delivery, and the role of feedback from Beta readers. The keynote speakers also emphasised the importance of literary competitions as great platforms to know how good one’s literary writing skills are. The gala fest brought an understanding that writing is a privilege, one should write for passion to express and not primarily for money as literature is a therapeutic expression of the deepest emotions residing in the complex intellect.
