An evening devoted to the rich heritage of India was organised in collaboration with SPIC MACAY(Society of Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth) on 21st August at VDJS. The guest artist of the evening was the renowned Bharatanatyam dancer, Sushri Ragini Chandershekar Ji and her esteemed team of musicians, Shri Sreerag Ji, Sri MV Chandershekhar Ji and Shri VSK Annadurai Ji. Surpassing the barriers of languages, Ragini ji displayed a compelling synergy of dance, music and poetry, wherein she performed Bharatnatyam on the bhajans composed by Tulsidas ji, Surdas ji and Meera Bai. Her insightful responses to the queries of Jindalites confirmed the age-old belief about art forms that art must be pursued as a passion and not just as a hobby. The musical event came to a close with the felicitation of the guest artists by the Principal, Ms Naina Dhillon.
