As the Sun was done for the day and left for His abode, the preparations, the excitement, of the host at the Auditorium surged as Class XI gave a red-carpet welcome to Class XII to bid them a spectacular farewell on 31st January, 2023. Ms Richa Rudra and Sir Administrator, Mr Nikhil Rudra graced the occasion as the Chief Guests. The damsels of the outgoing batch were looking stunning in their traditional avatar in pretty sarees and stiletto heels as they entered the auditorium freezing with the theme for the day, ‘Winter Wonderland with shades of white and blue’. The gala event was looking no less than Oscar celebrations with blue and white fallalery. The evening kick started with the surprise comic package of Kashish Lohan and Vanshika Singh who ushered in a roller coaster ride of laughter across the auditorium. The beautiful live rendition by Ridhi and Akshita, and short dares by Anayika Magotia kept the energy and spirit of the gathering soaring beyond the night skies. Dotted with smashing dance performances by the divas of Class XI, the VDJS pageant unfolded with the numerous alluring ramp walk, introduction and question rounds and Class XII students set the stage on fire by showcasing great style and elegance. The extravaganza was presided over by a panel of judges- Ms. Richa Rudra, Ms. Neelam Rai and Ms. Anindita Sinha. The pageant reached its final round and the big question was addressed by the five contestants to claim the coveted crown of Miss VDJS- a beautiful blend of beauty, humanity, intelligence, and aesthetics. The titles were announced and the winners were adorned with sashes and tiaras. A splendorous feast made the evening even more spicy and hot. And the night glowed and rocked as everyone danced their soul out in the Skating Ring.
