VDJS celebrated and honoured the academic journey of the outgoing Batch of  Class XII, 2023-24, on 15th December in the Auditorium with grandeur and extravagance. After an interlude of four years, parents were also invited to celebrate the achievements of their wards. VDJS alumna, Ms Shalini Goel- Batch 20004, honoured the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The ceremony commenced with the kindling of the lamp by the dignitaries, invoking the divine blessings for all. The soulful musical rendition of the Sufi song, ‘Tu Jhoom’, the solo Kathak performance on‘Shiv Aradhana’, and the group dance showcasing the beautiful partnership of Kathak with Bharatnatyam entranced the audience. Dressed in black gowns with their mortarboard hats resting on their heads, every Jindalite from Class XII was called on the stage to receive a personalised citation in recognition of their achievements and merits along with a Saraswati ji memento as a souvenir from her mentor and the Principal, Ms Naina Dhillon.

The Chief Guest congratulated the girls of Class XII for their remarkable endeavours at VDJS and also shared her own experience and the significance of being a student of the school. In her address, the Principal applauded the Batch of 2023-24, proud to be called ‘Mavericks’, for their successful completion of school years and the various achievements they had encompassed during it. She encouraged the girls to overcome every challenge of their lives by having clarity of thought in mind, a willingness to learn from every possible opportunity they come across which would guide them in making the right choices and taking right decisions. The ceremony rounded off with a hymn followed by a High Tea for the Parents and the students with the staff. The VDJS community wishes the Batch of 2024 happiness and prosperity for all their future ventures!
