A moment of pride and also a reaffirmation of the sincere endeavours made at VDJS  to mentor every girl to become her best version, as Jindalite, Ms Jaya Sharma, Kasturba House, 2009-12, has successfully cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination and ranked 258, to serve the nation as an IPS officer.

Respected Ma’am

I am Jaya Sharma, an alumnus of Vidya Devi Jindal School from Hisar. I am happy to share that I have cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination, 2023. I’ll be joining as an IPS officer soon.

This is a very overwhelming moment of my life and two institutions I’ve studied from have contributed immensely in shaping my personality which has helped me to achieve this feat. One is IIT Delhi and the other one is my beloved school VDJS. I wish to take this moment to express my gratitude towards my school. The platform and exposure that my school provided me helped to strengthen my value system. 

The learnings here helped me to build a strong academic foundation. I am deeply grateful to my teachers for this. I seek their blessings to become a capable officer and make them proud. 

I again thank the entire VDJS community for providing a nurturing platform for young girls and minds. And I believe that under your guidance, VDJS shall achieve even greater heights and shine brighter than ever.
