The evening of Freshers’ Nite held on  July 20, 2024, witnessed a grand display of a vibrant tapestry woven with threads of talent, passion, and unity that the newcomers have brought to the VDJS family. The Principal, Ms Naina Dhillon, honoured the evening with her presence and was presented with a memento as a gesture of respect. The Nite commenced with the delicate footwork and intricate movements of Ms Ritu seeking blessings with  Ganesh Vandana. The graceful Bharatnatyam and Kathak dance performances unleashed pure devotion of Nagas for Lord Shiva and of Radha and Krishna for each other. The little champs with their electric moves, the upbeat of Bhanghra, and the pulsating Retro and Hip-Hop dances jazzed up the ambiance. Jam Skating by Ms Nikita Rathi created waves of thrill and excitement among the audience.

Several heartfelt poetry compositions of nostalgia for loved ones and invincible courage for the motherland were presented by teachers and students. The captivating drama with a musical spectacle based on the timeless tale of Rapunzel took Jidalites for a ride to the charming fairyland. Jindalites were immersed in the rich cultural heritage of India as students and faculty showcased their vocal artistry. As the night drew to a close, the audience was treated to a visual spectacle as live paintings were unveiled and the fashion show took the spotlight. The Principal acknowledged the freshers’ stellar performances and commended Class XI for their outstanding teamwork in orchestrating the event. The evening finally culminated with a delectable dinner at the circular point accompanied by a groovy jam session. The VDJS family extends a warm embrace to its new members!
