Diya Making Workshop for the Underprivileged
The Social Service League of VDJS in collaboration with the NGO, ‘Bheekh Nahin Kitab Do’ organised a skill development programme for twelve underprivileged children on 28th October, on campus. Mr Biswanath Bhadra, Sculpture Department, taught the children how to create beautiful diyas with the help of moulds. The attendees would use the skills learnt to make and sell diyas at the upcoming Fair, ‘Diwali Dil Se’.The workshop aimed at helping the girls to become self-reliant in life.
