Graduation Day- Batch 2024-25

VDJS celebrated the incredible journey of the graduating Batch 2024-25—a journey of grit, perseverance, and transformation, and the promise of a bright future on 19th December in the auditorium. Dr Mala Vohra Khanna, a distinguished alumna and renowned Child and Clinical Psychologist, honoured the occasion with her esteemed presence as the Chief Guest.

Dr Khanna holds a Master’s and MPhil in Clinical Psychology from Amity University, accredited by the Rehabilitation Council of India. As the founder of Raj Psychological Services, she has positively influenced over 10,000 individuals through her counselling expertise. Dr Khanna has also contributed as a counsellor at Vivekananda College and a guest faculty member at esteemed institutions like IGNOU and Jamia University.

The grand event commenced with the lighting of the lamp, seeking divine blessings and the felicitation of Dr Khanna by the Principal, Ms Naina Dhillon, with a bamboo shoot and a self-portrait sketched by a Jindalite, Navya Niharika.

The lyrical rendition of ‘Roar’ by Kate Perry and ‘Shabashiyaan’ by the school choir presented empowering echoes of strength and resilience, unleashing inner courage. A timeless ode to grace, rhythm, and storytelling set to ‘Warriors’ by Imagine Dragon and an extraordinary medley of India’s classical dance forms, brought together in a vibrant Taraana,  reflected the story of courageous souls- a story of dreams pursued, battles fought, and victories earned. It symbolises their determination, unity, and readiness to take on the world.

The students of the outgoing batch of Class XII received their citations, a celebration of their achievements and contributions, and a testament to perseverance and growth, from the Chief Guest. The Head Girl, Lavanya Singh, shared her reflections, her holistic journey at VDJS, and a message for her graduating batch.

The Chief Guest, Dr Khanna, commended the school’s remarkable efforts in nurturing well-rounded individuals and exhorted the profound impact of extracurricular activities and sports in paving the way for future achievements. In her address, the Principal, Ms Naina Dhillon, congratulated the Batch 2024-25, for their successful innings at VDJS and encouraged the girls to face the world with unwavering determination, to discern and make prudent choices, to embrace future opportunities and challenges with both openness and resilience.

The monumental occasion drew to a dignified close on a note of togetherness and harmony as the gathering sang the School Song and a hymn showering blessings of a prosperous life.
