Interaction with Career Counsellor from grade XII on Univariety

A session held on Univariety with grade XII by Career Counsellor- Mr Hamid khan on
7,March in LRC.Students were informed about shortlisting of course and colleges in India and abroad
on portal.
He demonstrated Univariety portal and explained the relavance' making good profile &#39, and instructed
for completing and updating the profile on the portal. He explained steps involved in completing ' My Journey'
and major Psychometric Tests- Branch Selection Test- Engineering, Commerce and Humanities and
Ideal Career Choice Test which suggests three major areas of a career in which one can grow.He
explained importance of webinars by university professionals and specialists in career, available on
the portal. He emphasised about shortlisting courses and colleges-India or Abroad by which student will
get regular updates regarding that college like -important dates, eligibility, entrance, mock tests and
chances of selection through messages. He explained how to select good colleges recommended and
safe colleges in University. He talked about various options on the portal which students can explore-like-
scholarships, a career in different areas, fees calculator, mock tests, different all India tests-
JEE, NEET, CLAT, NIFT.language proficiency tests for abroad like -IELTS, SAT, TOFEL and PTE.
He demonstrated how students can connect with Alumni of VDJS according to the course and
college and can fallow them by applying two rules- ' Meet the Expert&#39, and follow their
footprints. Alumni data on the website is uploaded till 1984 batch who can facilitate students with their
experience through chats, messages or email.
Students can frequently connect with Univariety trained online supper counsellors on
chat, who are expert in India and Overseas and they will do research and guide on an individual basis and
will analyse Psychometric Reports. In the end, brothers and prospectus of different colleges were
distributed to create awareness and to inform different types of courses run by colleges,
universities, majors and minors, degree and diplomas etc. Students expressed their difficulty in
connecting with Univariety due to less availability of internet.
