Jindalites attend Round Square Conference-Vivek High School, Chandigarh

The Round Square International Conference held at the Vivek High School, Chandigarh, commenced on April 3, 2024,  The theme of this event was ‘Self-Empowerment—Discover More’, where around 170 delegates from 26 different schools participated from all across the globe. Six students, accompanied by Ma’am Aishwarya, participated from VDJS.

The keynote speakers, barazza sessions, and story-telling sessions focused on various themes of ‘Wabi Sabi’, which is the Japanese art of finding beauty in imperfections. The conference also saw a talk on ‘Kintsugi’ by Prachi Agarwal, which is an art where broken pottery is mended with gold to symbolize that ‘beauty lies in imperfection’.

In the days following, all delegates headed to the Suryavilas Luxury Resort, Himachal Pradesh, for a session led by Lama Yeshe on mindfulness, where students dived into deep introspection towards nature and meditated in the lap of nature and roamed the forest in pure tranquillity. The conference too came to an eventful end filled with culture and a lot of dancing.
