A workshop on ‘Story Telling Through Puppetry’ was attended by Ms Shriya Bhalla and Mrs Seema Rani Mishra at Springdales School, Pusa Road, New Delhi on 22nd February. They learnt about the concept of ‘puppetry’ and its varied forms practised all over the world from the resource persons, Ms Sangya Ojha and Mr Haider Hashim. In the hands-on session they learnt the techniques of creating and playing puppets effectively. On return, Ms Shriya Bhalla and Mrs Seema Rani Mishra conducted a session for the teaching Faculty on 27th February. They demonstrated the technique of preparing sock-puppet, story recitation with the help of the puppet while keeping in mind proper puppet playing techniques and voice modulation. The entire purpose of the workshop was to enable teachers to bring fun element in their day-to-day teaching lessons.
