Rakhi for the Brethren Soldiers

On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, under the flagship of the NCC Battalion, Hisar, NCC cadets of VDJS crafted beautiful rakhis and penned letters of gratitude to the soldiers, the protectors, and guardians of India on 31st August on campus. These rakhis and letters would be sent to soldiers stationed at the borders and in challenging terrains.

NCC Tree Plantation

Taking forward the NCC Campaign, ‘One Cadet One Tree’, Jindalites planted 43 tree saplings on campus on 23rd July to enhance the green cover of the campus and raise awareness among the cadets about the importance of trees. To cultivate a sense of belonging with Mother Nature, Jindalites committed to nurturing the saplings regularly.

Kargil Vijay Diwas

Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated on 26th July by 3 HAR Girls Battalion NCC in Chaudhary Ranbir Singh Auditorium GJU S&T, Hisar to honour the valour and sacrifice of the Indian soldiers for their motherland. 22 NCC cadets of VDJS escorted by Ms. Aishwarya and Ms Pranjali attended the event. The dignitaries at the event, former Director of Door Darshan, Mr. Ajit Singh, Commanding Officer of the Battalion, Col. Gyan Prakash Pandey, and the Kargil war veteran, Captain Krishna Sihag, shared with the gathering how the unflinching spirit of the Indian soldiers in sacrificing their lives for their nation made India celebrate the ‘Vijay’ in the Kargil War.   The commendable performance of a short skit on the life of Captain Vikram Batra by the Jindalites secured them the Third Position. Congratulations Jindalites!
