Six Jindalites along with a teacher escort Ms Mamta Rani participated in the IPSC Service Project 2019 hosted by Yadavindra Public School, Patiala from 21st– 24th November at Hassanpur village. This service project provided them an opportunity to know about rural life and the problems faced by the underprivileged rural children. They worked collectively for the improvisation of the village Anganwadi. The project work included painting the walls, fixing of play equipments(Swings), tree plantation, preparation of charts for class rooms and making provision for story books and stationary for the kids. They also attended a few interactive sessions on Waste Management, Personal Hygiene, Nutrition and Healthy Living. Visit to Dukh Nirvana Gurudwara, Qila and shopping in the local market were the added attractions of the project. The girls returned with a great sense of fulfilment and much greater confidence.
