Mr Rohit Sharma loves teaching as he gets to witness what he calls the “AHA!” moment when students are able to think critically, question the status quo and respond positively to society’s needs. He is a dynamic and well-organised professional with nearly 22 years of rich experience of teaching English, with eight years at VDJS. With M.Phil., Post Graduate and B.Ed. degrees, he has excelled at Chess, One Act Play & Mime at University level. He has conducted many workshops on Vocabulary Enrichment and Phonetics at various schools and colleges. Many of his students have excelled and added many feathers in their caps in the fields of academic, drama, debates, storytelling, Mime at Inter-School levels. He has a knack for enhancing student learning by optimising wide range of innovative classroom activities and maintaining positive relationships with students, parents, community members and staff.

Ms Sunita Verma has a Master Degree in English with a Bachelor of Education. With one score and three years of teaching experience, she has been associated with VDJS since 2010. She is an organised professional with proven teaching, guidance and counselling skills. Besides being competent in handling children of all age groups, she is adept in modern classroom teaching and possesses the prowess to develop appropriate skills and social abilities in children. A progressive learner she believes in having an open and lively classroom. Her endeavour is to contribute knowledge and skills in a manner that offers a genuine opportunity for the progression of children.

Ms Anindita Sinha is an action – oriented English teacher, awarded with a Master’s degree in English and B.Ed. Her passion is to make a real difference in the lives of the young learners for a better tomorrow. With over 18 years’ experience in education, she is serving at Vidya Devi Jindal School since 2008. She believes in igniting the flames of knowledge and discovery in the young minds of today. She enjoys reading and writing poetry.

Ms Shraiya, M.PHIL (English) and B.Ed, has been an educator for 7 years and calls herself a student for life. She enjoys engaging her students in creative ways to learn, retain and find ways to apply their language skills in their daily life. This quote by Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr., summarizes her thoughts about language, “Language is the blood of the soul, out of which thoughts run and out of which they grow.” Her interests include travelling, trekking, pranic healing, music and reading the writings of Yuval Noah Harari.

Name: Mr. Rupesh Kumar

Mr. Rupesh Kumar is a passionate and ardent teacher of German language, who loves engaging with his students and propelling them towards their goals. He has Masters in German, B2.3 CEFR Level Certificate in German from Germany along with a B.Ed degree. An educator with 15 years of experience he has been with VDJS since 2016.

As an IAYP coordinator he promotes adventure activities at VDJS. Under his supervision VDJS Girls have created history, by covering a distance of 350 Km, from Hisar to Chandigarh and 480 Km, from Hisar to Jaipur, in Cycling Expeditions. His Hobbies are-Cycling, Trekking, Camping and Cooking. He would love to see his students embrace adventure for overall personality growth and to see them evolve as global citizens.

With a firm belief in the fact that ‘Every Child is Potentially the Light of the World and Education is a Creative and Continuous Process’, Mr  Vijay Kumar Sobhani is an academician to the core. He also believes that it is imperative of educators to nurture students in their loving care and guidance right from the beginning of their formative years of learning. He has a Master’s Degree in English with a Bachelor of Education and PG Diploma in TEFL with Dual Specialisation. He has rich varied experience of twenty years in the field of education. He is very meticulous, planned and systemic in his approach. He had been awarded with the Best Teacher’s Award twice and is also the recipient of Teacher Par Excellence Award 2021 by IIHM, Dehradun 2021. In his leisure time he loves to draw and paint and has also won several awards at painting competitions in the professional and non-professional category

Cherishing an experience of about a decade and a half in both day and residential schools, Ms. Sperdha Rathore hails from “the Pink City’, Jaipur. Having a Master’s degree in English Literature along with Bachelor of Education she has served at different designations ranging from curriculum designing to Primary In-charge in some of the reputed schools of Jaipur.  With riches of training and management skills she moved to Dehradun in the year 2019, and served in an international school as their Cambridge facilitator and House Mistress for about five years. She feels elated sharing her experience to help the young minds grow not only in classrooms but also in other avenues of their lives. Whenever the schedule permits, she appreciates doing intricate needlework and engaging in music of different genres, she also relishes active participation in oratory events like debates, JAMs and poetry recitals and never misses an opportunity to be close to nature, away from the hustle-bustle of the city life.   She joined VDJS in April 2024, as English PGT and has also taken up the role of school AFS Coordinator and English Debate Club.

Ms. Ritu Guglani is a seasoned educator with nearly 20 years of teaching experience in the French language. With an impressive academic background and a wealth of professional experience, she brings joy in learning a foreign language.

She has completed various advanced courses like DELF, Diplôme de Langue enhancing her proficiency and understanding of the French language and culture. She also earned the diplôme du flé, from the University of Mans, France, a testament to her advanced skills in teaching French as a foreign language.

She holds an Advanced Diploma from Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan, which further solidifies her foundational knowledge and teaching capabilities. Through her professional journey, she undertook various responsibilities apart from teaching. She has led the French department in previous institution, ensuring high standards of education and fostering a collaborative environment. Her organizational skills have been pivotal in managing the academic schedule and coordinating substitutions, ensuring a smooth functioning of school operations. She has organized and led various educational tours and trips, providing students with immersive learning experiences beyond the classroom. She not only has accompanied students on various adventurous camps, promoting team-building and leadership skills but she also had been the part of training and earned the certificates as well.

Her role as a head examiner for the CBSE board exams highlights her commitment to maintaining academic integrity and excellence. She is an accredited examiner for the DELF exams, showcasing her deep understanding and certification in evaluating French language proficiency.
